WIESE

Chimera necklace

We find the same subject, but for brooch use, at the British Museum, under number 998, part of the Hull Grundy donation.

The British Museum believes that this motif would have been designed by Jules WIESE (1818-1890), father of Louis WIESE, in the twenty years which followed the restoration work of Notre Dame de Paris carried out by VIOLLET-LE-DUC from 1840
